We're looking for a confident and experienced HR Manager to join us on a 12-month maternity cover contract. This is an exciting opportunity to take a leading role in a fast-paced, people-focused environment where no two days are the same.
About The Role
Reporting to the Head of HR, you'll lead a busy HR team and act as a trusted advisor to our Cafe managers and wider business. This is a hands-on generalist role suited to someone who thrives on variety and knows how to keep the wheels turning while also driving strategic people initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and support the HR team to deliver a best-in-class service
Coach and advise managers on employee relations, performance, and people matters
Manage and continuously improve policies, processes, and our HRIS system
Drive key people initiatives around wellbeing, engagement, and performance
Champion recruitment best practice and ensure a strong pipeline of Cafe talent
Support the development of Insomnia's Employer Brand and EVP
Stay on top of employment law changes and lead compliance efforts across the business
Foster a culture of inclusivity, continuous development, and operational excellence
What We're Looking For
At least 5+ years' experience including 3+ at mid/senior level
Proven track record of leading a team and influencing across all levels
Solid knowledge of employment law and HR best practice
Comfortable in a high-energy, fast-paced environment
Strong communicator with the confidence to lead from the front
Experience using HRIS, ATS, and data reporting tools
Passionate about people, solutions-focused, and always willing to roll up your sleeves
