Infrastructure Development Manager
Job Overview:
This role is responsible for designing and delivering high-performance internet infrastructure solutions that meet member, product, service, and backbone requirements.
* Generating project requirements, together with other architects, engineers, application teams, and users, to determine that all high-level requirements have been met.
* Developing technical documents, logical flows, and models to keep users, architects, and engineers up-to-date and in agreement on the evolving application, system, or platform.
* Maintaining architectural products and related inputs in the most current state, avoiding obsolescence.
* Resolving global internet architecture and operational problems impacting infrastructure and product availability and performance.
* Researching and evaluating new technologies for possible deployment in internet infrastructure.
* Thorough knowledge of network, operating system principles, and web middleware.
* Strong understanding of core functions related to internet infrastructure design and/or web administration.
* Ability to work under pressure in an independent environment, demonstrating high-energy, proactivity, and detail-orientation.
* High degree of initiative, self-motivation, and result-driven skills.
* Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with organizational abilities to collaborate as a member of a diverse, geographically distributed project team.
