Long term Contract Hybrid – Longford and Dublin
Our client is seeking a motivated Junior Wintel Server Engineer to join the Wintel Team within the ICT Operations function. The team is responsible for the management, maintenance and support of the Windows server and desktop infrastructure supporting operations across all client locations. This role operates in a mission‑critical environment and involves supporting enterprise systems, troubleshooting infrastructure issues and contributing to ongoing ICT projects.
Role and Responsibilities
Administering Active Directory services
Maintaining email platforms such as Microsoft Exchange and Lotus Domino, and supporting the Citrix virtual desktop environment.
The role also involves managing storage and backup solutions, integrating third‑party applications.
Supporting printing services, monitoring service desk escalations, and contributing to the delivery of new ICT initiatives.
What’s involved
This is a hands‑on technical role within a fast‑paced operational environment.
The successful candidate will work with a broad range of technologies including Windows Server, Active Directory, virtualisation platforms, enterprise storage, backup systems, and collaboration tools such as Microsoft 365.
The role requires strong troubleshooting skills, the ability to support large‑scale IT environments, and the flexibility to assist with infrastructure projects.
The position operates on a hybrid working model with a minimum of one day per week at in Longford, alongside occasional travel to other sites.
What you need
Two years of relevant Wintel or Windows infrastructure experience
ICT qualification or industry certification.
A full, clean driving licence and access to transport are required.
