Role / Department
An exciting opportunity for a Senior Accountant - Oversight Lead within the Limerick Financial Control team. This permanent role will complete financial control processes, produce reports, resolve issues timely, and provide ad-hoc support to the EMEA regional finance teams. The team is responsible for monthly management accounts, month-end close, and statutory accounts production for several EMEA legal entities. The successful candidate will collaborate with operations and other Finance teams to ensure books and records reflect the business with adherence to accounting policy and local GAAP for the relevant entities.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee and lead the completion of centralized processes and guide other team members
Daily accounting, administration and oversight to support the financial accounts production for several legal entities
Produce monthly management accounts for multiple legal entities
Prepare reconciliations and ensure documentation and accounting align with corporate requirements and policies
Generate month-end analytics and trend data to assist review and validation of financial results
Complete annual statutory financial statements, provide inputs to the audit process, and work with External Auditors
Manage financial processes and accounting operations for the EMEA region
Lead change management and implement standardized process improvements with the EMEA Financial Control team in Limerick
Respond to and resolve queries from Business and Finance colleagues in a timely manner
Collaborate with Finance teams in other locations
Skills / Qualifications
Qualified accountant (preferable ACA / ACCA) with several years post-qualification experience in a multi-currency financial services environment
Experience in a corporate financial control environment with knowledge of accounting, reporting, financial control requirements, statutory and audit requirements
Ability to work as part of a regional and broader EMEA Finance team
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Highly numerate with strong analytical skills and high attention to detail
Proven ability to assess issues, identify solutions and problem solve
Flexible approach to changing work methods, deadlines and workloads
Experience dealing with stakeholders across multiple locations
Experience of US GAAP or IFRS is an advantage
Advanced IT skills, notably MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
