Job Title: Head Chef - Gastropub (Cork | €60,000 | 4 Days On / 3 Days Off) Location: Cork Salary: €60,000 per annum The Noel Group is proud to partner with a prestigious client in the hospitality industry to search for a Head Chef for a thriving gastropub in Cork. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and passionate chef to lead a well-established kitchen team in a creative and rewarding environment. As Head Chef, you will be responsible for the overall management of the kitchen, leading the team in delivering high-quality dishes that align with the gastropub's seasonal and locally inspired menu. You will drive consistency, innovation, and efficiency while maintaining high standards in food quality, hygiene, and team performance. Key Duties & Responsibilities: Oversee and manage all kitchen operations including prep, service, stock control, and ordering. Lead, inspire, and mentor a team of chefs and kitchen staff. Design and execute creative seasonal menus and daily specials. Ensure high standards of food quality, presentation, and portion control. Maintain kitchen hygiene and food safety standards (HACCP compliant). Manage food cost, waste control, and supplier relationships effectively. Develop and implement kitchen training programs to support team development. Work collaboratively with FOH and management to deliver an outstanding customer experience. Requirements: Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef role. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team. A creative culinary mindset with a deep understanding of seasonal and modern gastropub cuisine. Excellent understanding of food safety, HACCP, and kitchen management practices. Experience in menu planning, cost control, and supplier negotiations. Must be living in Ireland and have the right to work in the Republic of Ireland. Visa and relocation packages are not provided.
