Position
The Senior Data Analyst is a key role in the Clinical Solutions - Risk Adjustment Team and is accountable for the development and execution of analytic processes within Chart Targeting Operations.
This includes executing and analysing large, complex data sets to extract meaningful insights and communicating data driven findings to both internal and external stakeholders.
This role will collaborate closely with team members and cross functional business and analytics partners to meet operational deliverables whilst trying to drive improvements in the process efficiency and effectiveness.
We are seeking a detail oriented analyst who leverages solid technical skills to execute operational tasks with precision, accuracy, and efficiency, and to help us on our mission of helping people live healthier lives.
The successful candidate will also collaborate cross functionally with business and data analytics teams, possess proven data analysis experience working with big data, and demonstrate the ability to prioritize tasks effectively and adapt to evolving business needs.

Working Schedule:
This is a full-time position with standard working hours of Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm.
Careers with Optum offer flexible work arrangements and individuals who live and work in the Republic of Ireland will have the opportunity to split their monthly work hours between our Dublin or Letterkenny office and telecommuting from a home-based office in a hybrid work model.
Primary Responsibilities
Develop a deep understanding of data and business processes related to Chart Targeting Analytics and Risk Adjustment.
Serve as an SME in chart targeting while participating in creating integrated data solutions across the organization
Research and develop innovative analytics to generate value for Optum and our clients
Identify data trends and opportunities to enhance chart targeting by analysing complex datasets
Use data expertise to analyze data and provide solutions to optimizing the performance of operations and data processing tasks
Support leadership strategies to enhance targeting analytics, end to end chart review business processes, and back end data operations
Support reengineering and automation initiatives to modernize legacy analytics and work with internal team and stakeholders to understand and drive forward enhancements
Validate data pipelines and provide inputs to build scalable data and analytics processes/data flows
Provide accurate, high quality data to partnering teams in timely manner to enable integration into their workflows and execution of their process steps
Perform quality checks to ensure high standard and accurate data

Required Qualifications
Bachelor\'s Degree in a data engineering or similar quantitative field
Proven extensive experience in complex data analysis with relational and non-relational (NoSQL) databases, mining large datasets, including advanced proficiency in SQL/Python or any transferable programming language
Proven experience with big data technologies, including Apache Spark and Hive
Demonstrated ability to drive data driven business solutions in a complex data environment
Proven solid hands-on experience working with and analyzing large-scale datasets, including ETL processes
Proven solid working knowledge of relational databases and database design principles
Demonstrated basic familiarity with big data and cloud technologies
Proven ability to drive change and influence individuals at all organizational levels through technical discussions and analytical insights
Proven ability to work collaboratively and build solid networks in a multidisciplinary environment
Demonstrate superior communication with the ability to clearly and accurately convey complex information across all organizational levels, with solid attention to detail
Demonstrated solid interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, coupled with high personal initiative, accountability, and the ability to work independently
Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrated knowledge of Risk Adjustment and experience in a healthcare, data centric role, with exposure to datasets such as member and claims data
Proven experience in preparation and presentation of data insights and recommendations to both internal and external stakeholders, preferable
Proven experience with big data technologies, including Apache Spark, Python, Hive, Shell scripting, and Sqoop
Demonstrated working knowledge of Databricks for large-scale data processing and analytics
Proven hands-on experience designing, developing, and maintaining Azure Data Factory (ADF) pipelines for data ingestion and orchestration
