We are seeking a skilled and reliable Yard Operative to join our team.
Job Description:
The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our yard and stores. This includes loading and offloading deliveries, checking and storing incoming stock, maintaining a tidy and obstruction-free yard, and operating a forklift.
Main responsibilities include:
* Loading and offloading deliveries safely and efficiently
* Inspecting deliveries on arrival and storing them correctly
* Maintaining accurate stock records and updating inventory
* Organizing the yard and stores for easy access
* Ensuring a clean, tidy, and safe working environment
* Operating a forklift to move materials around the yard
* Performing routine checks on forklifts and equipment to ensure they are in good working order
* Following health and safety protocols and promoting a safe working culture
* Providing general warehouse support as needed
