About the Role
We're looking for an experienced Cloud Engineer to join our growing tech team. You’ll play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining cloud infrastructure on AWS, ensuring our systems are secure, scalable, and efficient. Main Accountabilities and Key Tasks:
* Collaborate with architects to design and deploy AWS applications at scale.
* Monitor and optimize cloud components for performance, uptime, and cost.
* Identify legacy systems suitable for cloud migration and lead modernization efforts.
* Build and manage infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
* Implement monitoring and logging solutions to proactively detect and prevent issues.
* Write clear, effective documentation for cloud architecture and operations.
* Work through the full development lifecycle for AWS-based projects.
* Troubleshoot incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement fixes.
* Partner with Security, DevOps, and Engineering teams to enforce cloud security and best practices.
Knowledge and experience:
* 3+ years in a similar cloud-focused role.
* Deep knowledge of AWS services and architecture.
* Proficiency with IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).
* Experience in Linux administration and shell scripting.
* Solid understanding of Kubernetes and container orchestration.
* Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., CloudWatch).
* Strong grasp of cloud security principles and best practices.
* Experience with standards like PCI-DSS, GDPR, or CIS is a plus.
