Financial Accountant - Cork City - Onsite - Permanent Overview Our client, a well-established and growing organisation in the sustainability and energy sector, is looking to hire a newly qualified accountant to join their team in Cork.

The role This is a broad, hands-on position where you will gain experience across financial accounting, payroll, and operational finance, while working closely with different departments across the business.
Key responsibilities will include: Managing company bank accounts, including daily reconciliations and working with internal teams on allocations Taking ownership of payroll processing (weekly and monthly) for a growing workforce Supporting month-end close, including accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations Maintaining the fixed asset register Working closely with internal teams to ensure accurate processing of grant-related documentation and payments Providing support across accounts payable and receivable when required Liaising with external accountants and auditors Assisting with improving financial controls and processes Supporting year-end activities and getting involved in ad hoc projects About you Newly qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or similar) Strong foundation in accounting principles from training Good attention to detail and a high level of accuracy Comfortable using Excel and accounting systems Proactive, organised, and keen to learn Enjoys working both independently and as part of a team This role offers a great opportunity to step into industry, gain broad exposure, and build a strong foundation for your long-term career.
