WHY THIS ROLE IS VALUABLE
The Maintenance Technician is crucial for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of Ornua's operations. This role involves maintaining and optimizing equipment, minimizing downtime, and supporting a safe working environment through active participation in Health & Safety initiatives. The role also includes driving continuous improvement and ensuring compliance with technical and food hygiene standards to uphold product quality and safety.
This position requires working shifts.
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
* Support the H&S system within Ornua through proactive participation.
* Responsible for asset performance & maintenance.
* Complete all preventative and reactive tasks assigned by the Engineering Lead.
* Collaborate with operational and engineering teams to meet site KPIs.
* Manage and execute assigned projects.
* Drive and support continuous improvement initiatives.
* Be a proactive member of the site engineering team.
* Participate in employee development and performance management programs.
* Engage in training and value-adding tasks from each session.
* Ensure compliance with technical and food hygiene standards to meet quality and safety requirements.
REQUIREMENTS:
* A recognized Electrical Qualification.
* Experience in high-speed manufacturing environments and familiarity with Packaging Machines is desirable.
* Experience with Automation systems such as Siemens PLCs, HMI, SCADA, and instrumentation is desirable.
* Knowledge of process control systems including pumps, valves, and instruments.
* Experience working with utilities like gas boilers, compressed air, and refrigeration.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.
* Flexibility to work varying shifts.
* Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
