The Electrical Engineering Shift Technician will join our team based at a Biotech client site in Dundalk working with like-minded experts on new equipment and world class processes.
The role is responsible for monitoring the operation of the utility systems, conducting rounds and readings to ensure and report on operational performance. Duties also involve supervising contractor works, approving permits to work, responding to alarms and manufacturing or maintenance requests, and conducting PM, PDM and CM activities.
Responsibilities:
* Monitoring and operation of all wet, dry, clean and electrical utility systems.
* Conducting rounds and readings to ensure utility equipment is operating within required parameters.
* Responding to alarms or erroneous process values and reporting on the same.
* Facilitating subcontractors carrying out work on site, reviewing safety documentation and approving permit to work
* Partaking in GEMBA walks and housekeeping audits issuing and assuming responsibility for items to be addressed.
* Carrying out predictive, corrective and preventative maintenance tasks as assigned on the CMMS.
Skills Required:
* Time Served Electrician OR Level 7 with a minimum of 2yrs experience in Industry.
* Experience in electrical systems (medium and low voltage.
* Excellent analytical and communication skills
* You will be familiar with the Site services agreements and Warrantees and will make appropriate vendor support call-ins as required to support the business requirements.
* Literacy in Computer Operating Systems and applications such as Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
* Experience of or familiar with shift work.
Education / Licenses / Certifications:
* Trade Qualified Fetac Level 6 Electrical Technician OR Level 7 Engineering degree
