Comyn Kelleher Tobin LLP is seeking an experienced Solicitor to join the Childcare Law Department. The successful candidate will manage a caseload of childcare law matters, representing clients in District Court proceedings and providing expert advice on all aspects of child protection and welfare law.
Key Responsibilities
Advise and represent clients in childcare law matters, including applications under the relevant and related legislation.
Prepare and present cases before the District Court and other relevant forums.
Draft pleadings, affidavits, and other legal documentation to a high standard.
Liaise with social workers, guardians ad litem, and other stakeholders in child protection cases.
Provide clear, timely legal advice to clients and maintain excellent client care standards.
Manage files efficiently, ensuring compliance with regulatory and professional standards.
Contribute to departmental knowledge sharing and training initiatives.
Qualified Solicitor in Ireland with 3–5 years PQE.
District Court advocacy experience is essential.
Ability to manage a busy caseload and work under pressure.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Full clean driver’s license is essential.
Experience working with public bodies or in child protection litigation.
Familiarity with legal processes and procedures.
Commitment to continuous professional development in childcare law.
