Job Overview
The Diagnostic Imaging Department at our facility offers comprehensive services to both inpatients and outpatients, including General Radiography, Theatre Imaging, Ultrasound, DEXA, MRI, PET CT, CT, and Cath Lab services.
We are seeking a skilled Radiology Assistant to work as part of our Multidisciplinary team in the Radiology Department. This role involves clinical and administrative duties, including:
* Welcome patients and escort them to examination rooms
* Assist radiographers during examinations, including changing, moving, and lifting patients and equipment
* Manage stock levels and replenish consumables
* Liaise with wards to ensure timely transfers of patients
* Direct patients to changing cubicles and assist with changing if required
This role requires a minimum requirement of a Fetac/QQI Level 5 in Health/Social Care and previous experience in a radiography department is desirable. The ideal candidate should be able to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities

* Providing high-quality patient care
* Supporting radiographers during examinations
* Managing stock levels and ordering supplies
* Liaising with wards to coordinate patient transfers
* Ensuring a smooth patient flow throughout the department
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* A minimum of a Fetac/QQI Level 5 in Health/Social Care
* Previous experience in a radiography department (desirable)
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
