The teams
The Ireland Investor AML Onboarding team is responsible for performing AML verification on investors prior to opening an account in a fund under Northern Trust’s administration. All investors are risk assessed and initial due diligence documentation is gathered to facilitate onboarding. The team also monitors trigger events and may refresh documentation due to changes in an investors circumstances. The Ireland Investor AML Ongoing Monitoring team is responsible for continuous monitoring of investors throughout their investment journey, primarily through overnight screening of investors and related parties, transaction monitoring of activity, and periodic reviews to ensure due diligence documentation remains accurate and up to date.
The roles
Our teams have the opportunity to work on large-scale ongoing monitoring projects at an EMEA-wide level and across multiple jurisdictions. AML partners will be involved in strategic rollouts and accountable for executing to high AML standards. Success requires strong relationships with the Northern Trust Transfer Agency and Client Services departments across EMEA, and other key stakeholders, to deliver a robust AML ongoing monitoring and onboarding service to Northern Trusts client and investor base.
The Skills
Successful candidates will demonstrate some of the following:
 * Organised approach and ability to meet deadlines
 * Strong verbal or written communication and collaboration with colleagues and stakeholders
 * Strong organisational and communication skills with experience in managing large projects
 * Experience in risk management, compliance, process improvement, or research; transferable to AML
 * Knowledge of the wider fund administration or investor services space is advantageous
 * Training is provided to work on your own initiative
 * For more senior roles, knowledge of day-to-day AML and Transfer Agency operations and the wider funds administration business
 * Experience in AML with exposure to ongoing monitoring practices; knowledge of the EMEA AML regulatory landscape is ideal
 * Ability to research issues and deliver solutions; a track record of driving operational improvement is valuable
