The company has a collaborative culture and is growing steadily.The Data Engineer will be responsible for building and maintaining secure, reliable data pipelines that support both product functionality and internal analytics. This is a hands-on role within a small engineering team, offering broad exposure across data, security, and software development.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, build, and maintain data pipelines and integrationsDevelop and optimise data models and storage solutionsEnsure data quality, reliability, and performanceApply secure data handling and access control practicesCollaborate with software engineers and product teamsMonitor, troubleshoot, and improve existing data workflowsSupport compliance with data protection and security requirements (e.g. GDPR)Maintain clear documentation of data processes and architectureRequired Experience & SkillsExperience in a Data Engineer or similar roleStrong SQL and database design skillsExperience using Python or similar languages for data processingExposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)Understanding of data security and privacy principlesExperience working with version control systems (Git)Comfortable working in a small, agile teamDesirable / Nice to HaveBackground in data security, privacy, or compliance-focused environmentsExperience with streaming or real-time data systems (e.g. Kafka)Familiarity with data warehouses and analytics platformsKnowledge of DevOps or infrastructure automation tools
