Senior Project Communications Advisor – Secondment

We are looking for a Senior Project Communications Advisor – Secondment based in Dublin / Cork. This is a full‑time role (5 days per week) seconded to a client team with on‑site work in the client’s office 3 days per week and office work 2 days per week. Following a successful probation period, hybrid working can be arranged.

What You Will Be Doing

This position involves supporting our client’s project communications and infrastructure delivery teams to ensure successful delivery of water and wastewater projects. The portfolio includes hundreds of water services projects valued at approximately €1 bn per annum.


Key Responsibilities

* Managing communications on projects to achieve the client’s vision and objectives
* Devising and implementing project communications plans
* Internal stakeholder engagement, including liaison with technical colleagues and multidisciplinary teams, preparing internal reports and presenting at internal meetings
* External stakeholder engagement with contractors, residents’ associations, interest groups and elected representatives
* Writing project briefing sheets, press releases, website articles, social media content, etc.
* Message development to make technical or complex information accessible and relevant to the general public, businesses, elected representatives and other stakeholders
* Planning and delivering public information and public consultation events, both in‑person and online
* Organising, attending, presenting and recording notes at stakeholder meetings
* Event management for official openings of water and wastewater projects
* Stakeholder mapping, relationship management and maintaining up‑to‑date contact databases in line with GDPR
* Adapting responsibilities as the dynamic nature of the business requires


Who We Are Looking For

* Highly motivated professional with proven ability to perform at both strategic and operational levels
* Strong leadership skills to motivate and guide teams
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work closely with clients to achieve high levels of satisfaction
* Demonstrable experience devising and implementing successful communications strategies, media and social media campaigns, events and stakeholder engagement
* Minimum 7 years’ postgraduate relevant experience in communications, majority relating to infrastructure or climate action projects
* Experience planning and delivering projects and programmes in line with the project management lifecycle
* Strong communications, report writing and stakeholder management skills
* Strong analytical skills and ability to develop strategic communication plans for the designated area where required
* Ability to prioritise tasks, work with schedules and manage resources while remaining focused on team goals
* Proven experience delivering projects in a deadline‑driven and evolving environment
* Demonstrable account management experience including client relationships and reporting


Qualifications

* Hold an honours degree (Level 8) in Communications, Public Relations, Social Sciences, Behavioural Economics, Law or Business
