Job Description
We are seeking a Health and Safety Officer for our Kerry based client to work on various construction sites in County Kerry.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain and implement Health and Safety management systems and conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify hazards.
Deliver site induction, toolbox talks and training sessions to employees, subcontractors and visitors.
Develop and assist with compilation of Work Method Statements and Risk Assessments for the various sites.
Investigate all incidents, near misses and prepare detailed reports recommending corrective and preventative actions.
Ensure accurate records are maintained at all times including training, inspections and incidents.
Support and advise the Project Managers/ Site Foreman on health and safety matters as required.
Skills and Experience:
A relevant third level Qualification in Health & Safety.
A minimum of 3 years proven construction site work experience.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to deliver training and safety briefings confidently to all levels of staff.
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Applications.
Full Drivers Licence.
Salary: €36,000 to €43,000.
Employer: Kerry Farm Relief Services.
Working week: Monday to Friday; 39 hours per week.
