Our client a Care & Rehabilitation centre which provides Complex Care Rehabilitation services to patients who, as a result of an accident, illness or Injury, have acquired a physical or cognitive disability and require a specialist programme of rehabilitation are currently recruiting an experienced Assistant Director of Nursing who would have experience working in
Neuro / Acquired Brain Injury.
This centre is the first designated facility based in the west of Ireland.
They are a CARF accredited facility with a dedicated Neurorehabilitation unit and have a dedicated multi-disciplinary team which includes a Clinical Psychologist, Speech & Language therapist, Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist along with a dedicated clinical team of therapy assistants, Nurses and Healthcare assistant.
Our client offers tailored programmes to meet individual needs of adults with Complex Care needs.
We are seeking dynamic and enthusiastic
Assistant Director of Nursing
to join the team on a full-time permeant basis.
The successful candidate will need to have strong leadership skills and be able to build connections with Disability manager and Social Workers.
The ADON will support the development of structured neuro-rehabilitation pathways to maximise patient recovery and functional independence.
Ideal Candidate must have a strong interest in Brain Injury.
Requirements
Registered in the General Nurse Division, and other divisions as relevant to the specific service, of the Register of Nurses and Midwives, as appropriate, maintained by the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
Have 5 years post registration nursing experience and 3 years nursing management experience at a minimum of Clinical Nurse Manager 2 (CNM 2) in an acute or similar setting desirable.
A post graduate qualification at level 9 in Health Care Management, Nursing Leadership, or a related field – Desirable
Certified Brain Injury Specialist – Desirable
Knowledge / experience of Quality Management and Nursing Development is essential.
Evidence of proven clinical and professional ability, leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
