As a Culinary Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting maritime operations by planning, preparing, and delivering nutritious meals to enhance the well-being and morale of the crew.
This key position is part of the Logistics Team, responsible for food management, kitchen hygiene, and safety protocols. You will work closely with the team to maintain high standards of efficiency and quality in meal preparation and service.
Your duties will include menu planning, stock control, and provisioning for operations of varying duration. You will also support the training and supervision of junior chefs and participate in emergency response situations as part of the ship's crew.
To be successful in this role, you must have Irish citizenship or legal entitlement to work in Ireland, meet medical, physical, and security clearance standards, be 18–39 years old, and hold relevant culinary arts qualifications.
The recruitment process involves a fitness test, competency-based interview, medical exam, and Garda vetting, all conducted at the Naval Base, Haulbowline Island, Cork.
