The Store Manager will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, achieving sales targets, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with company standards.
This role requires strong leadership, operational excellence, and the ability to inspire and develop a high-performing team.Key ResponsibilitiesOperational LeadershipOversee day-to-day store operations, ensuring smooth, efficient, and customer-focused service.Implement and maintain company policies, standards, and procedures.Manage stock control, ordering, and inventory accuracy to minimize waste and maximize availability.Team ManagementRecruit, train, and develop team members to foster a culture of performance and engagement.Provide ongoing coaching, performance reviews, and succession planning.Schedule staff effectively to balance operational needs with cost efficiency.Customer ExperienceEnsure an excellent in-store shopping experience through a focus on service, standards, and availability.Handle escalated customer queries and complaints professionally and effectively.Drive customer loyalty initiatives to strengthen repeat business.Financial PerformanceManage budgets, forecasts, and P&L performance.Monitor sales trends and implement initiatives to achieve revenue and margin goals.Control operational costs and ensure compliance with financial procedures.Health, Safety & ComplianceEnsure the store operates in line with health & safety, food safety, and legal requirements.Promote a safe working and shopping environment for employees and customers.Skills & QualificationsSuccessful candidates must be able to demonstrate a high level of commercial acumenA successful track record of managing a number of different departments at a managerial levelMinimum of 10 years management experience in grocery retail industry, in both fresh and ambient departmentsA self-starter with strong drive, an appetite for hard work who demonstrates energy and an ambition to succeedAble to demonstrate strong leadership and team building skillsExcellent analytical skills with a particular focus on P&L managementFlexible management style; able to celebrate success, motivate and have difficult conversations with colleagues and managersWhat We OfferA dynamic and supportive work environment.Opportunities for career growth and professional development.Competitive salary and performance-related benefits.Apply today and take the next step in your retail career.
