Overview
We are looking for a Construction Site Manager to support the delivery of energy transition projects. The role is highly hands-on, responsible for managing activities on site from initial mobilization through commissioning and post-installation support. Working alongside the Project Engineer/Project Manager, the Site Manager drives efficient project execution while maintaining schedule, cost, and quality expectations.
Key Responsibilities
Project Execution
•Direct daily operations across the construction site
•Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and on-site personnel
•Verify work aligns with drawings, specifications, and project schedules
•Monitor site progress and report status updates to senior management
Health, Safety & Compliance
•Enforce company and regulatory health and safety standards
•Conduct regular inspections to ensure safe working practices
•Address safety concerns promptly and proactively
•Confirm workers hold required training and certifications
Quality Assurance
•Verify construction activities meet defined quality requirements
•Perform regular inspections and audits
•Resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions
Resource Allocation
•Manage labor, equipment, and material resources
•Optimize resource utilization to reduce waste and enhance productivity
•Track usage and maintain accurate cost and inventory records
Stakeholder Coordination
•Communicate effectively with clients, engineers, and other stakeholders
•Lead periodic site meetings and coordination reviews
•Provide transparent and timely updates regarding progress and risks
Documentation & Reporting
•Maintain detailed site records including daily logs, safety documentation, and progress reports
•Prepare routine reporting packages for senior management
•Ensure all documentation is current, accurate, and securely stored
Budget & Cost Control
•Monitor site spend and support adherence to project budgets
•Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities
•Contribute to budget development and forecasting
Qualifications & Experience
•Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field
•Minimum 5 years of construction management experience; renewable energy experience preferred
•Relevant construction and health & safety certifications
•Strong leadership and team management capabilities
•Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
•In-depth understanding of construction methods, materials, and safety regulations
•Proficiency in project management platforms and digital tools
•Ability to interpret drawings, plans, and specifications
•Strong problem-solving abilities with high attention to detail
