Are you a curious problem solver who can find creative solutions in unexpected places? Are you passionate about cloud computing including AI solutions. Do you understand the complex privacy, regulatory and compliance concerns customers can have when adopting cloud computing.

Today our customers continually ask if they can really use cloud computing in the regulatory context they face. Regulators continue to amplify regulatory expectations. In this role you will work to reassure them they can.

You will be working with our most important customers and with our senior leaders in cloud engineering to help our customers succeed with their cloud-based projects. You'll be working with a global compliance team and can be up to 100% home based.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

* Bachelors Degree in a computing relevant topic, or Juris Doctor (or equivalent international degree) with specialization in regulation, privacy, government affairs, or technology.
* Significant experience in support, consulting, audit or communications work relevant to degree disciplines (some combination of technology, law, regulation, privacy). Experience as a professional service (i.e., external) auditor is relevant.
or experience equivalent to the above.
* Fully fluent in English in a business setting.

Other Requirements:

* Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Additional / Preferred Qualifications:

* Familiar with Microsoft Cloud offerings and in particular their compliance and privacy aspects or with cloud adoption risk assessments for any hyper-scale cloud service.
* Familiarity with professional service contract and statements of work.
* Experience preparing customer ready documentation on complex topics.

Responsibilities

* Own assigned customer and regulator issues associated with cloud regulatory compliance, privacy, data location and other common issues.
* Interact with Microsoft leadership during escalated customer issues impacting customers.
* Standardize compliance solutions into repeatable approaches.
* Prepare excellent documentation that exists at the intersection of regulatory requirements and technical features.
* Handle other proactive projects as assigned related to compliance, privacy, regulatory affairs or data governance.
