Position: Environmental Consultant
Location: Cork City, Ireland (Remote-based with site visits)
On behalf of our client, a well-established environmental consultancy based in Munster, I am currently seeking a talented and driven Environmental Consultant to join their growing team. The company works with a diverse portfolio of large organizations across Ireland and is known for delivering high-quality, regulatory-compliant environmental services.
Position: Environmental Consultant
Location: Cork City, Ireland (Remote-based with site visits)
On behalf of our client, a well-established environmental consultancy based in Munster, I am currently seeking a talented and driven Environmental Consultant to join their growing team. The company works with a diverse portfolio of large organizations across Ireland and is known for delivering high-quality, regulatory-compliant environmental services.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a candidate with at least two years of relevant experience who is eager to further their career in a dynamic and supportive consultancy environment.
Candidate Requirements
* An Honours Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
* A minimum of 2 years' experience working with EPA IE/IPC licensed facilities—either in a consultancy role or directly within such facilities.
* Solid understanding of Irish environmental/sustainability legislation and EU BAT/BREF standards.
* Excellent project management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Strong technical writing and reporting capabilities, with high attention to detail.
* Must be self-motivated and comfortable working independently from a home office setup.
* Willingness to travel occasionally to client sites.
* A full, clean driving licence and access to own transport is essential.
Role Responsibilities
* Preparing EPA licence applications and compliance reports.
* Supporting or leading the development of Environmental Impact Assessment Reports (EIARs).
* Designing and implementing Environmental Management Systems, including ISO 14001 frameworks.
* Coordinating with regulatory authorities, clients, sub-contractors, and other stakeholders.
* Conducting environmental audits and inspections.
* Producing clear, well-structured technical reports and documentation.
