Were looking for a Project Engineer to join a well-established engineering contractor working on water and wastewater treatment projects across Ireland. Youll be involved in projects from design right through to completion, managing the mechanical engineering elements and working closely with colleagues in civil, electrical, and process engineering. What Youll Be Doing Take the lead on the mechanical design and integration of water/wastewater systems from feasibility studies to detailed design and pricing. Work side-by-side with multidisciplinary teams to make sure everything fits together seamlessly. Choose and order pumps, valves, tanks, and other key equipment, making sure everything meets the right standards. Manage subcontractors on-site, keeping the work on track and up to quality. Visit sites regularly to check progress, resolve any technical issues, and keep things moving. Build strong working relationships with clients and keep them updated throughout the project. Make sure all work is carried out safely and in line with regulations. Keep accurate records, plans, and reports so everyone involved knows where the project stands. Share lessons learned and look for ways to improve how projects are delivered. Support and mentor junior engineers as part of a collaborative team. Requirements Degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering (or related discipline) Chartered status desirable. Minimum 3 years experience as a Project Engineer in the water/wastewater sector. Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and multidisciplinary teams. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to resolve technical issues under pressure. Solid knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations. Proficiency in MS Office; familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit advantageous. Skills: Civil Engineering Water/Waste Water Construction
