The Role:
We are seeking a
Credit Underwriting Officer
to join our underwriting team. This role is central to our lending operations and offers an excellent opportunity to develop your career within a dynamic fintech environment. The role is office based
Key Responsibilities:
* Assess and process nationwide loan and credit applications
* Analyse personal financial information including bank statements, payslips and supporting documentation
* Make accurate, efficient and compliant credit decisions
* Work independently while contributing effectively as part of a team
* Support management in the development and underwriting of new lending products
* Demonstrates flexibility and adaptability to system updates and process changes
Requirements:
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Excellent attention to detail, with a high level of accuracy
* Proficient computer skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload effectively
* Self-motivated with a proactive and professional approach
* The successful candidate will be required to work on-site at our Killarney office
Qualifications / Experience:
* Third-level qualification, QFA, Financial or Accountancy qualification, or relevant experience
* Previous experience in a financial services or credit-related role is a distinct advantage
