* Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Operations Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Closing out month-end procedures: Assist in posting all monthly transactions, including bank postings, accruals, fixed assets, and prepayments.
">
2. Balance Sheet reconciliations: Prepare and clear all reconciling items.
">
3. Management accounts and reports: Assist in preparing bi-monthly management accounts and reports.
">
4. Tax returns: Assist in preparing submissions of monthly tax returns (VAT, PAYE, RCT, etc.).
">
5. Purchase orders: Support the procurement team in accurate recording of purchase orders.
">
6. Statutory audit: Contribute to the development of new accounting/ERP systems, programs, and procedures.
">
7. Reconciliations: Record credit card transactions and reconcile to monthly statements.
">
8. Vendor balance reconciliations: Perform monthly vendor balance reconciliations to vendor statements.
">

Requirements:

* Accountancy/Business Qualification: Ability to meet weekly/monthly deadlines.
">
* Communication Skills: Strong attention to detail and process.
">
* Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
">
* Microsoft Excel: Sound knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
">
* Experience: Experience working within a busy finance department is desirable, with experience using SAP accounting system being preferable.
