SERVICE AND SECURITY TO GUESTS DURING NIGHT
* Registers, processes, and greets guests promptly.
* Checks the daily arrival list and welcomes guests to the hotel.
* Responds to guest requests for information about the hotel and its surroundings.
* Arranges for special services requested by guests.
* Reviews the reception diary each shift to stay current with hotel developments and updates it for the next shift.
* Provides limited services in areas such as telephone, business service centre, concierge, housekeeping, reservations, room service, cleaning, and food and beverage service.
* Prepares night audit reports as needed.
* Allocates rooms and issues keys.
* Handles incoming guest room reservations and reservations for services like rental cars and restaurants.
* Maintains awareness of current room status and availability.
* Promotes food and beverage options to increase hotel revenue.
* Completes shift closing accurately with necessary approvals and authorizations.
* Adheres to hotel policies on cash handling.
* Demonstrates teamwork by assisting colleagues as needed.
* Maintains effective key control.
* Possesses working knowledge of hotel services and facilities to assist guests effectively.
* Controls access to the hotel.
* Operates switchboard, telefax, key equipment, credit card machines, printers, alarm systems, and other front office equipment.
* Declares any discrepancies in cash to the front office manager or supervisor.
* Understands and follows hotel fire and emergency procedures.
* Provides for guest and employee safety during emergencies.
* Supports hotel safety by following regulations and laws.
* Anticipates hazards and informs management accordingly.
* Works flexible hours to ensure continuous guest service.
