We have a fantastic opportunity with our Engineering Services Supplier client, who is hiring a Manufacturing Engineer on an initial 12-month contract basis. This supplier works with many of the top multinationals within the Irish med-tech sphere and has access to some of the most exciting projects ongoing in the industry.
Your new role
1. Monitor line performance, compile and execute structured event plans to remediate systemic issues driving sub-optimal performance.
2. Develop and implement supporting documentation, SOPs and process work instructions compliant with current Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
3. Lead technical improvements under the business's Continuous Improvement Program.
4. Transfer and implement processes from development or another manufacturing facility.
5. Provide technical leadership/guidance for Process / maintenance Technicians and other Manufacturing / Equipment Engineers on the team.
6. Offer engineering support for new Product and new process introduction, ensuring all activities are completed and documented in accordance with New product Development Process.
7. Validate products and processes; VP, IQ, OQ, PQ and associated documentation.
8. Conduct Gauge R&R studies for products and new processes.
9. Maintain Quality Management Systems requirements on site at all times.
10. Continuously monitor and report variables feeding into business performance metrics, and proactively identify and resolve issues around any deficits in same.
11. Adhere to and enforce all Environment Health and Safety (EHS) requirements on site.
12. Eliminate and/or manage material risks on the production floor in cooperation with Supplier Quality engineers.
Requirements to succeed
1. A Level 8 Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical experience is required.
2. Proven Project Management skills through the delivery of business critical projects.
3. Two to four years' experience in a manufacturing environment.
4. Experience of Transfer & Validation of CNC Machining Processes.
5. Experience of Transfer & Validation of Shot Peening Processes.
6. Experience of Development & Transfer into Production of NPI (CNC Machining, Clean & Pack).
7. Demonstrable analytical & problem-solving skills, a process improvement orientation, and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced and results-oriented environment.
8. Excellent presentation and written / verbal communication skills.
9. Able to work autonomously.
10. A team player, flexible approach.
11. Technological pioneer, willing to source, investigate and implement technological and automation advances.
12. Confident and effective decision maker, with proven leadership ability to negotiate and influence others.
