We are hiring a Housekeeping Supervisor for our Ashley Lodge, Tully East, Kildare, Co. Kildare, R51VW22.
JOB PURPOSE:
To work as part of the team responsible for the overall cleanliness and hygiene of the Nursing Home and to supervise the services and processes that support the core business of the organisation. To interact with residents and colleagues in a positive and helpful way at all times.
Responsibilities:
1. Training and Supervising Staff: Train housekeepers on cleaning and maintenance tasks, ensuring that all staff members are well-prepared to meet cleanliness standards.
2. Scheduling and Organizing Shifts: Organize employee shifts and arrange for replacements in cases of absence.
3. Inspecting Work Areas: Check rooms and common areas, including stairways and lounge areas, for cleanliness and order.
4. Handling Customer Complaints: Respond to customer complaints and special requests, ensuring customer satisfaction.
5. Inventory Management: Monitor and replenish cleaning products stock, ensuring that all necessary supplies are available.
6. Ensuring Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety and sanitation policies in all areas.
Required Skills, Knowledge & Qualifications:
* Previous experience in a similar role.
* Ability to communicate effectively at all levels. English language ability must be such that the staff member is competent to communicate effectively with residents and colleagues in relation to speaking, listening, reading, and writing.
* Good communication skills.
* Team player.
* Must provide Garda Vetting clearance in line with H.I.Q.A. requirements.
