Purpose of the Role:
* The Person in Charge (PIC) will oversee the management of the Service, ensuring high standards of service to Residents and effective staff management.
* Ensure compliance with HIQA standards and implement Talbot Group policies supporting best care and practice in disability services.
* Handle complaints appropriately in line with organisational policies.
* Manage staff through supervision, mentorship, appraisals, and team meetings.
* Coordinate appointments with the multidisciplinary team.
* Maintain a high quality of life for residents through person-centred care plans, health promotion, reviews, and risk assessments.
* Support residents in exercising choice and control, developing citizenship, and maintaining relationships with family and friends, including accessing advocates and professional supports.
* Regularly review and update care plans as per regulations.
* Stay informed about developments in the profession and commit to ongoing professional development.
Role Requirements:
* A QQI Level 7 Degree in Social Care or a relevant Allied Healthcare discipline.
* Minimum of three years' management or supervisory experience in the Health or Social Care sector.
* Possess a qualification in Health or Social Care management (minimum Level 6 on the National Framework of Qualifications).
* Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
