We are seeking a qualified and motivated Youth Tennis Coach / Lead Tennis Specialist to deliver high-quality tennis coaching across youth camps, small group sessions, and 1-to-1 player development programmes.
This role is ideal for a coach who is passionate about youth development, technical skill progression, and creating a positive, structured, and enjoyable learning environment for young players.
Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver engaging tennis coaching sessions for youth players across camps, group training, and 1-1 development sessions.
* Act as Lead Tennis Specialist by setting coaching standards and supporting assistant or junior coaches where required.
* Provide technical coaching focused on stroke production (forehand, backhand, serve, volley), footwork, movement, and match play.
* Design age-appropriate and progressive training programmes tailored to individual player ability and development stages.
* Deliver high-energy tennis camps during school holidays, ensuring sessions are safe, well-organised, and development-focused.
* Provide clear, constructive feedback to support player confidence, technical improvement, and match awareness.
* Ensure all coaching activities comply with safeguarding, child protection, and health & safety standards.
* Build positive relationships with players, parents/guardians, and club or programme staff.
Please note: This role is not suitable for gym/fitness instructors or casual tennis hitters. Applicants must have experience coaching tennis in a structured youth development environment.
Requirements:
* Proven experience coaching youth tennis (club, academy, school, or development programme level).
* Recognised tennis coaching qualification (Tennis Ireland Level 1/2/3, ITF, PTR, or equivalent).
* Strong understanding of youth player development, technical coaching, and session planning.
* Ability to coach group sessions, camps, and individual 1-to-1 player development sessions.
* Excellent communication skills and a professional, positive coaching approach.
* Valid or willingness to obtain First Aid / CPR certification.
* Garda Vetting (or willingness to complete).
