Shape What "Good" Looks Like.If you're an experienced Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) specialist who's tired of being brought in after the big decisions are made — this is different.At Version 1, we put senior technical consultants at the centre of delivery, trusted to design, lead, and assure the integration backbone of large-scale Oracle Fusion ERP, HCM, and EPM programmes across the UK public and regulated sectors.This role is for someone who wants real design authority, complex technical challenges, and the opportunity to shape standards — not just build point-to-point integrations.Why This Role Stands OutYou won't be pigeon-holed as "the OIC person".You'll act as a technical authority across integrations, data migration, and reporting — owning how data moves, transforms, reconciles, and becomes trusted insight across enterprise platforms.You will:Architect end-to-end integration solutions, not just build componentsDesign secure, scalable, production-grade patterns using OIC and OCI PaaSInfluence migration sequencing, data quality, and reconciliation strategyWork closely with functional, data, and analytics teams to ensure everything actually joins upSet standards, mentor others, and raise the bar across our Oracle Cloud Centre of ExcellenceThe Kind of Problems You'll Be SolvingDesigning integration landscapes that stand up to public-sector scrutinyMaking OIC work at scale, not just in demosSecuring complex integrations using OAuth2, OCI Vault, private connectivityOptimising performance across high-volume, multi-wave data loadsEnsuring auditability, traceability, and resilience across the entire data journeyTurning fragmented interfaces into cohesive, reusable integration platformsIf you enjoy solving problems that don't have "textbook" answers — you'll thrive here.Who This Is ForThis role is ideal if you:Have deep, hands-on OIC experience and still enjoy getting into the detailWant to operate as a senior technical authority, not a delivery resourceCare about quality, structure, and engineering disciplineAre comfortable challenging designs, influencing stakeholders, and setting directionWant to mentor others and help shape how Oracle Cloud is delivered at scaleWhat You'll Be DoingIntegration Architecture & DeliveryYou will:Lead the end-to-end design and build of integrations between Oracle Fusion Cloud (ERP/HCM/EPM) and external enterprise systems using OICDefine and enforce reusable integration patterns (App Driven, Orchestrations, Event-based APIs, Batch/File)Design robust error handling, logging, and recovery frameworks using OIC dashboards and OCI Logging AnalyticsImplement secure connectivity using OAuth2, certificates, OCI Vault, and private connectivity agentsOptimise performance through parallel processing, streaming, and payload efficiencyCollaborate closely with functional and migration teams to align integration sequencing with data readiness and reconciliationProduce high-quality technical designs, mappings, and deployment artefacts in line with governance standardsOCI & PaaS EnablementYou will:Extend integration capability using OCI services such as API Gateway, Object Storage, Functions, Notifications, and Autonomous Databases (ATP/ADW)Implement CI/CD pipelines for OIC artefact promotion using Visual Builder Studio, Git, and/or JenkinsIdentify opportunities for automation, standardisation, and reusability across the integration landscapeData Migration (Supporting Role)You will:Support migration teams with staging models, data mapping, and sequencingDesign and test FBDI, HDL, and BICC based data-exchange processesEnsure consistency of transformation, validation, and reconciliation logic across integration and migration layersAssist during SIT, UAT, and pre-prod load cycles to resolve complex data issuesReporting & Analytics AlignmentYou will:Enable reporting and analytics through BIP, BICC, and Fusion Data Intelligence (FDI)Align integration outputs with audit, reconciliation, and reporting frameworksSupport data lineage and traceability from source systems through to analytics platformsEnsure secure, performant exposure of reporting interfacesTechnical Leadership & GovernanceYou will:Act as a design authority, enforcing standards, security baselines, and best practiceProvide assurance across multiple workstreams and suppliersTroubleshoot complex integration issues across environmentsLead knowledge transfer and support post-go-live transitionMentor junior consultants and contribute to Version 1 accelerators, CoE initiatives, and R&D
Qualifications
What We're Looking ForEssential ExperienceYou will have:Extensive experience of Oracle technical delivery experienceIn-depth hands-on OIC and OCI PaaS integration experienceStrong expertise with OIC adapters, REST/SOAP APIs, XSLT/XPath, file-based integrationsSolid understanding of Oracle Fusion data modelsPractical experience with FBDI, HDL, and BICCSecure integration design using OCI Vault, certificates, OAuth2CI/CD experience using VBS, Git, JenkinsExperience delivering within governed, multi-supplier public-sector programmesExcellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder-management skillsDesirableYou will have:Fusion Data Intelligence (FDI), Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC), or Oracle Process AutomationVBCS or APEX for lightweight UI/workflow extensionsUnderstanding of UK Government Cloud, security, and compliance standardsOracle certifications (OIC Specialist, OCI Architect, Integration Professional)
