Trade Counter Sales Assistant Location: Rathcoole, Co. Dublin Salary: €35,000 - €38,000 per annum (DOE) Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm Additional Requirement: Flexibility for occasional Saturday shifts (9:00am-2:00pm) About the Role We are currently recruiting a Trade Counter Sales Assistant for a busy and well-established building materials and manufacturing operation based in Rathcoole. Key Responsibilities Serving trade and retail customers at the counter in a professional and efficient manner Advising customers on product suitability, availability, and order quantities (training provided) Processing sales orders, invoices, and payments accurately Liaising with warehouse and yard staff to ensure timely order fulfilment Handling incoming phone and email enquiries Managing cash, card payments, and account customers Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised trade counter area Assisting with stock checks and basic inventory control Building strong, long-term relationships with regular trade customers Requirements Previous customer service, retail, or trade counter experience is desirable but not essential Eager to learn and develop product knowledge Strong communication and interpersonal skills Comfortable using EPOS and basic IT systems (training provided) Reliable, organised, and team-focused Flexibility to work occasional Saturday shifts (9:00am-2:00pm) What's on Offer Competitive annual salary of €36,000 - €38,000, depending on experience Full training and ongoing support Full-time, stable employment Supportive and experienced team environment Long-term career opportunity within a reputable operation Skills: sales business development client management
