Trinity College Dublin- an introduction.Post ID: 038862Post Summary:The School of Nursing & Midwifery is seeking to recruit an Associate Professor in Mental Health Nursing to contribute to teaching, research, and administrative activities in this field. This position arises from the intent to strengthen Trinity College Dublin's leadership in mental health nursing research and education, secure key funding opportunities, expand institutional capacity, and support the long-term growth and impact of the School in this critical area. The successful candidate will have a track record in the field of mental health nursing education and research. They will be expected to provide leadership in the discipline of mental health nursing and contribute to both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, as well as interdisciplinary teaching, curriculum development, supervision, and academic mentoring. This post provides an exciting opportunity to advance mental health nursing, which is of strategic focus for the discipline and the School of Nursing and Midwifery. The successful candidate will have a depth of knowledge pertinent to the role and will have a sustained record of research funding capture leading to practice innovation and scholarly publication. The individual will also be required to connect with, complement, and enhance the existing strengths in the mental health nursing discipline and in the School of Nursing and Midwifery. The appointee will be able to avail of an outstanding environment for education, research, and scholarly activities, and will be expected to engage with innovations and research initiatives in the mental health nursing discipline. The appointee will work closely with the head of discipline and other discipline members.Please note that police vetting will be conducted for individuals under consideration for this post.Post status: Permanent ContractHours of Work: Hours of work for academic staff are governed by the applicable Public Service Agreements.
