We are seeking a Contracts Manager to be part of a team involved in overseeing the electrical and mechanical installation of renewable energy systems, emphasizing effective project and subcontractor management, scheduling and adhere to safety standards. Additionally, the position entails managing a team, fostering their development, ensuring that Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are achieved, and cultivating a collaborative and high-performing work environment through strong leadership and people management skills.
Key Accountability and Qualifications
Customer Project Management
* Planning resources for the Electrical/mechanical installation of renewable energy systems
* Successfully lead and deliver projects in alignment with key objectives
* Monitor site progress and communicate programme and subsequent changes to all affected parties,
* Implementation of best practice in project control, performance management and project reporting
* Create weekly, monthly operations schedule.
People Leadership and Management
* Lead, coach and develop a team, ensuring high performance and adherence to company policies
* Foster a collaborative and inclusive environment that enhance productivity and morale.
* Conduct regular one-on-one meetings with team members to review performance, set goals and provide developmental feedback
* Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPI’s) to assess team effectiveness and make data-driven decisions.
* Address any issues related to performance or employee relations promptly and effectively.
* Assist in the recruitment and selection process by identify and securing top talent for the team.
* Ensuring staff are kept up to date with current legislation and training needs to meet he company objectives
Compliance Management
* Conduct regular health and safety audits to ensure compliance with al relevant internal procedures and regulatory requirements
* Ensuring team has the relevant and required training to complete their tasks
* Continuously monitor compliance process and ensure they are effective and adjust procedures as necessary.
Finance and Budget Management
* Develop detail budget in collaboration with department and company management
* Prepare detail financial reports according to project status.
* Continuously monitor spending against project budget
* Identify and investigate variance and implement corrective actions
Business Development and General Management Practices
* Maintain accurate and up to date documentation
* Ensuring health and safety requirements and legislations are implemented at all times.
* Build and maintain strong relationship with all stake holders
* Monitoring sub-contractor performance and determine about requirements
* Assist in any other duties which my encompass the role.
Qualifications and Experience
* Third Level Electrical/Mechanical engineering qualification or Snr. Trades
* 5 Years experience in Mechanical/Electrical services
* Project management of project to value of €5million
* Experience in people management and development
* Strong understanding in EHS requirements and legislation
* Understanding of renewable energy technology, to include solar, heat pump, biomass and wind turbine.
