As a JCI accredited hospital, Blackrock Clinic is a progressive and pioneering hospital in which care for the patient is central to everything we do.ROLE PURPOSETo provide a clerical and administrative service to the department and ensure that all patients/staff and any other individuals contacting and attending the Department are dealt with in an efficient, effective and timely manner.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESProviding an administrative service for the departmentSupport and cross cover in the local administration departmentGreet and communicate appropriately with visitors, patients, consultants and all staffProcessing paperwork and explaining the admission process to patients on arrivalSecuring payment from all underinsured/self insured patientsLiaison with other departments and consultants to arrange medical appointments as neededEscorting patients to other areas of the hospital as requiredLiaison with insurance companies to confirm cover, completing insurance claim formsPosting charges to patients' accounts for dischargeAssisting patients and visitors, liaison with hospital and clinic staffOther administrative duties as required by the clinical teamBalancing cash sheets, checking float.
