Master Data Steward (SAP / COMET)
Our client is a multinational pharmaceutical company with a strong presence in Ireland. They are currently looking for a Master Data Steward (SAP / COMET) to support their operations at their site in Dunboyne, Co. Meath.
Reporting to the SAP (COMET) Lead, the Master Data Steward will support the implementation and integration of COMET (SAP) and connected systems within a biologics manufacturing environment. The role is responsible for managing, governing, and driving initiatives that ensure compliant, accurate, and timely master data, enabling smooth material flow across the value stream supported by SAP COMET.
Key Accountabilities
Lead and oversee the master data creation process, providing support and solutions when data-related issues arise
Produce master data quality reports and ensure data integrity and consistency across systems
Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to support decision-making and maintain high data quality standards
Lead master data‑related projects and ensure alignment with key milestones through stakeholder coordination
Develop, maintain, and promote training and awareness initiatives for master data governance
Support and coordinate material creation activities within SAP COMET alongside other workstreams
Design and support user acceptance testing for SAP deployments, data updates, and recovery scenarios
Provide training and guidance on data standards to ensure adherence across teams
Oversee end‑to‑end data management activities across relevant systems
Monitor and track master data accuracy KPIs and ensure targets are achieved
Act as a subject matter expert, educating users, team members, and leaders on master data processes and lifecycle
Review and manage data requests, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and completeness
Lead resolution of master data issues to avoid disruption to operational processes
Participate in SAP governance and performance forums, including operational meetings and reporting dashboards
Perform additional duties as required
Educational and Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent third‑level qualification in Business, Science, Engineering, or related field
3–5 years of SAP COMET (or similar SAP master data environment) experience in a manufacturing setting, ideally within regulated industries
Additional certification or qualification in Data Management or Supply Chain is an advantage
Experience supporting SAP COMET implementation and master data process setup
Strong understanding of core master data objects such as Material Master, Purchasing, Bills of Materials (BOM), Routing, and Quality data
Strong analytical skills with experience in data validation, interpretation, and reporting
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across multiple stakeholders
Proven leadership capabilities and ability to influence without direct authority

Other Requirements
This role follows a hybrid working model, with on-site presence expected approximately 2 days per week depending on business needs
