Person in Charge & Social Care Workers
Location: Rural South Limerick
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary Ranges:
1. Person in Charge (PIC): €54,000 - €63,000
2. Social Care Worker: €36,945 - €52,720

A leading provider of high-quality residential and community-based services for individuals with intellectual disabilities is currently recruiting for Person in Charge and Social Care Worker positions. Both roles are full-time and based in a structured and person-centred residential setting in rural South Limerick.

1. Person in Charge (PIC)
Key Responsibilities:
3. Lead and manage the day-to-day operation of a designated residential service
4. Ensure full compliance with HIQA standards and all relevant legislation
5. Manage, supervise, and support the staff team
6. Oversee risk management, safeguarding, and quality assurance processes
7. Develop and implement person-centred care and support plans
8. Foster strong relationships with families, external professionals, and the wider community
Requirements:
9. Relevant Level 7 or Level 8 qualification ( Social Care, Nursing, Applied Social Studies)
10. Minimum of 3 years' management experience in disability or social care services
11. Excellent knowledge of HIQA standards and regulatory requirements
12. Proven leadership and team management capabilities
13. Full clean driving licence
2. Social Care Worker
Key Responsibilities:
14. Deliver person-centred support and daily care to residents
15. Assist individuals in achieving personal goals and community inclusion
16. Contribute to the development and implementation of individual care plans
17. Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with regulations
18. Work collaboratively with families, colleagues, and external professionals
19. Promote dignity, choice, and independence
Requirements:
20. Level 7 qualification in Social Care or a related field
21. Previous experience working in residential or community disability services
22. Understanding of person-centred and positive behaviour support approaches
23. Strong interpersonal and communication skills
24. Full driver's licence preferred
