The organization is led by a multidisciplinary team with extensive experience in working with youth and families, providing essential care and support services to those in need.Role DescriptionThis is a full-time, on-site role for a Social Pedagogue based in Tralee. The Social Pedagogue will work directly with children and adolescents in residential care, supporting their emotional, social, and educational development. Responsibilities include creating individualized care plans, implementing therapeutic interventions, organizing activities that address developmental needs, and fostering a nurturing and structured environment. Collaboration with families, social workers, educators, and other professionals is integral to ensure holistic and positive outcomes for the young people served.QualificationsExperience in child and youth care, social pedagogy, or related fieldsStrong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children, families, and professionalsSkills in creating and executing individualized care and education plansFamiliarity with therapeutic interventions and a child-centered, trauma-informed approachOrganizational and time management abilities to handle multiple responsibilitiesCommitment to working collaboratively and fostering a supportive environmentFormal qualifications in social pedagogy, social care, or a related discipline are requiredExperience in a residential care or fostering environment is a strong advantage
