Company Overview
Advance Science is a small but rapidly growing Irish SME specializing in the manufacture of Bee Supplements (Animal Feed).
The business currently exports to 50 countries, primarily within the USA and Europe, operating across 4 companies, 5 currencies and multiple tax jurisdictions. We operate multiple supply chains and are selling directly to key customers (wholesalers and retailers) as well as via Amazon and Shopify direct to customer.

Finance Manager
Role Summary: This role combines rigorous financial control with responsibility for tax compliance. The successful candidate will manage complex international transactions, multiple tax jurisdictions, and day-to-day financial operations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Financial Reporting: Producing the Balance Sheet, Income Statement, and Cash Flow Statement; Month/Quarter/Year end statements
* Taxation: accurately Manage VAT and VIES Returns, payroll, and PAYE compliance.
* Data Integrity: Ensuring all transactions are recorded in Sage
* Internal Controls: Policy developmentand implementing safeguards
Key Requirements:
* Must be Sage experienced with formal finance/accounting qualifications.
* Experience in an environment with extensive cross border trade would be a distinct advantage.
* Flexibility to work in areas outside the job description as needed.
* A structured, organised approach with strong attention to detail is a must for this role.
* A continuous improvement mindset, with a focus on driving the finance function, and a desire to grow and develop the business.
* A desire to learn and grow in the role as well as developing a detailed understanding of the business.
Required Skills & Experience
* 5+ years' experience in a finance environment
* Ability to act individually or as part of a team
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
* Experience with grant applications or public funding desirable
* Experienced communicator with excellent written and verbal English
* Proficient with Microsoft Office; knowledge of Sage 200 a plus
