Wine Bar Assistant Team Leader- Sheridans Cheesemongers Galway
Full Time | 40 Hours per Week | Weekend Availability Required
We are seeking a motivated Wine Bar Assistant Team Leader to support the daily operation of our Wine Bar. This is a hands-on role for someone with a strong passion for wine, excellent customer service skills and leadership experience in hospitality or food & wine retail.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver outstanding customer service and lead by example
* Recommend wines, cheese and charcuterie to guests
* Support daily operations, stock control and merchandising
* Assist with HACCP, food safety and health & safety compliance
* Support team supervision, training and development
* Assist with promotions, tastings and events
* Help achieve sales and hours targets
What We're Looking For
* 2+ years' experience in a supervisory or senior hospitality/retail role
* Strong knowledge and interest in wine (WSET an advantage)
* HACCP trained (or willing to complete)
* Organised, reliable and calm under pressure
* Excellent communication and customer service skills
* Flexible availability including weekends and late nights
