Senior Health and Safety Manager (Hybrid)
Excel Recruitment is delighted to partner with Cairn Homes, Ireland’s leading residential developer, to recruit a Senior Health & Safety Manager. Based in Dublin, this permanent leadership role offers the opportunity to drive safety strategy and initiatives across the business, ensuring continuous improvement and embedding a strong safety culture throughout the organisation and its supply chain.
Key Responsibilities for Senior Health & Safety Manager:
* Lead initiatives to enhance safety practices and culture across sites and the supply chain.
* Provide expert advice on safety systems, strategies, and behavioural safety programmes.
* Develop and implement health and safety strategies aligned with company objectives.
* Oversee the maintenance and improvement of ISO 45001-compliant safety management systems.
* Monitor safety trends and metrics, presenting insights and updates to senior stakeholders.
* Manage the annual audit programme, ensuring consistent safety standards across all sites.
* Represent the organisation in industry committees and engage with external stakeholders.
* Drive continuous improvement and innovation in health and safety practices.
* Support and develop the EHS team, fostering professional growth and collaboration.
Requirements for Senior Health and Safety Manager:
* 7+ years’ experience in a senior safety management role, ideally within construction or utilities.
* A degree or diploma in health and safety management/engineering is desirable but not essential.
* Strong knowledge of ISO 45001 standards and their implementation.
* Proven experience delivering safety programmes across multiple sites and stakeholders.
* Expertise in behavioural safety and change management initiatives.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience reporting to senior leadership.
* Ability to independently manage multiple projects and deliverables.
