Job Details
The successful candidate will lead strategic projects and business development initiatives across the Irish Medtech Skillnet and Medtech and Engineering Apprenticeship teams. Responsibilities include managing existing large-impact projects to ensure their commercial success, owning development projects undertaken by Apprenticeships, Springboard, and Skillnet teams, and managing stakeholder engagement and funding opportunities aligned with strategic goals.
The primary focus is identifying and developing business opportunities within the funded networks, overseeing project delivery, and coordinating activities across networks. The role reports directly to the Head of Funded Projects for Medtech and Engineering and involves coordinating business and funding activities, including identifying and developing projects for Skillnets, Apprenticeships, and Springboard.
This position is a fixed-term contract covering maternity leave, with a closing date of 9th May 2025. It can be based in Dublin or Cork, with consideration for other regional locations—please specify your preferred location in your application.
About The Role
* Coordinate activities of network stakeholders, focusing on strategic and business development projects.
* Lead key projects to ensure stakeholder management is central to all activities.
* Identify and scope funding opportunities and address gaps in training activities.
* Ensure delivery of high-quality business engagement aligned with network strategies.
* Lead business development projects within Irish Medtech Skillnet and Apprenticeships.
* Identify future funding opportunities and coordinate cross-functional applications.
* Support operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Perform other duties as directed by the Head of Funded Projects.
* Collaborate with the Management Team to support strategic activities.
* Ensure compliance with relevant policies and procedures.
* Provide backup support to network managers as needed.

* Strong project management experience, capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously.
* Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage complex priorities.
* Knowledge of business development and project management principles.

* Proficient in verbal and written communication, including report writing.
* Effective public speaking, presentation, and facilitation skills.
