Overview
We are recruiting an Accounts Payable Analyst to join our team in Carrigaline on a specified purpose contract with an approximate duration of 9 months.
Responsibilities
Primary Accountabilities:
1. Responsible for processing invoices and ensuring payment is within credit terms.
2. Review outstanding goods receipts report and investigate outstanding balances.
3. Dealing with external vendors daily regarding payments, statements, and problems arising.
4. Meeting internally with colleagues across departments to resolve accounts payable issues.
5. Completion of key tasks/reconciliations to ensure accurate and timely reporting at month end.
6. Completion of monthly vendor reconciliations for key vendors.
7. Exercise internal controls to maintain compliance with financial policies and global control standards.
8. Actively review controls for continued compliance.
9. Deal with external and internal auditors to ensure compliance with audits and statutory requirements.
10. Preparation of documentation and analysis of current processes with a view to standardization, automation, and elimination.
11. Investigate and understand best practices, looking for new opportunities to implement/develop these into the PepsiCo Ireland Controls & Reporting Team.
12. Explore opportunities to drive efficiencies and improve KPIs through automation and process improvements.
13. Maintain and develop best practice documentation on processes within your remit.
14. Participate in the company’s efforts to ensure compliance with all applicable legislation.
15. Adhere to all PepsiCo Health & Safety requirements.
Qualifications
Essential Skills:
1. Minimum of 2 years proven experience in a busy Accounts Payable environment, ideally in a multinational setting.
2. Exposure to and working knowledge of SAP or Oracle is desired.
3. Good time-management skills and the ability to prioritize and meet tight deadlines, particularly at month end.
4. Strong team player with good communication skills, capable of interacting with other departments and management.
5. Self-sufficient with the ability and desire to work efficiently in a multi-task environment.
6. Ability to identify opportunities and manage change programs to streamline and reengineer processes.
7. Ability to identify issues promptly, develop action plans, and influence others to implement them.
8. Customer-focused, committed to delivering against Service Level Agreements.
