Clinical Nurse Specialist - Intellectual Disability
This is a dynamic opportunity for a dedicated and compassionate Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our multidisciplinary team in providing high-quality care to individuals with intellectual disabilities and mental health disorders.
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic individual to work as part of our CAMHS-ID community team, delivering effective and recovery-oriented care in the community. The successful candidate will have a strong background in intellectual disability and mental health nursing, with excellent assessment and intervention skills.
The role involves working collaboratively with the CAMHS-ID service, Saint John of God Community Mental Health Services, to provide comprehensive support to individuals and their families. This includes assessment, treatment, and ongoing support to promote recovery and well-being.
The ideal candidate will be registered with the NMBI and have a minimum of 1 year's post-registration experience in intellectual disability or mental health nursing. They will also have completed a relevant post-registration programme of study and have continuing professional development relevant to specialist practice.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver high-quality, person-centred care to individuals with intellectual disabilities and mental health disorders.
* Assess and develop individualised care plans to promote recovery and well-being.
* Collaborate with the CAMHS-ID service and other stakeholders to provide comprehensive support to individuals and their families.
* Contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to intellectual disability and mental health care.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Registration with the NMBI (Mental Health) or another division of the register.
* Minimum 1 year's post-registration experience in intellectual disability or mental health nursing.
* Completed a relevant post-registration programme of study.
* Continuing professional development relevant to specialist practice.

About the Role: This is a full-time position, working 37.5 hours per week. The initial location of this role is the Clonskeagh Hospital campus, although outreach across the catchment area may be required.
