We are targeting to be in-office 4 days a week.We're looking for a Senior Data Scientist to join our team and help bring our AI product roadmap to fruition. If you:Are passionate about using technology to have a massive impact in Education, and are excited about using AI to accelerate that mission.Are eager to use data science, analytics and AI to find ways to answer the hard questions in educationHave a keen eye for how to prove out complex functionality with real dataAre always eager to roll up your sleeves and dig in at all stages of the product lifecycle - from high level ideation, to working through user stories with the teams to get the product into the hands of usersUnderstand the flexibility needed to release product in the fastest-changing technology landscape that we've ever seen beforeThen we'd love to talk with you!RequirementsCore Goals and Responsibilities:Work with Product & Technology teams to identify important questions and problems to our customers, and help find ways to answer those questions, or paths to provable solutions, using data.Work closely with product to prove the efficacy and reliability of AI-powered solutions at scale with real dataIterate on AI & LLM technical and prompting approaches with teams to finetune and improve outcomesBuild sustainable frameworks for testing and verifying quality of solutions, and for identifying changes / drift in quality over time.Think big - Lead a data-centric approach to how we build products. Execute small - Iterate with teams from initial MVPs to AI-powered, data-driven reliable products in the market.Experience and SkillsMust haves:6+ years in a data science or adjacent role, working with large scale data to solve real world problems.Excellent SQL skills and knowledge of statisticsWorking knowledge of the application of Data Science principles in Education & psychometrics a plus.Python experienceExperience with A/B testingExperience with data modeling and ETL pipelinesExperience working with product teamsIt would be great if you had:Experience leading and mentoring a team of data scientists, including setting project direction and coordinating collaborative workflows.Experience designing, implementing, evaluating, or optimizing Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions to enhance large language model performance and accuracy.Demonstrated proficiency in prompt engineering, including crafting and refining prompts to improve generative AI outputs and model interactions.Hands-on experience evaluating the efficacy and performance of large language models (LLMs) using quantitative and qualitative metrics.Experience with BI/Visualization toolsAt Learnosity we are looking for people who actively embrace change and are motivated to learn.
