Groundworks Foreperson is a pivotal role in the construction industry, requiring strong leadership and technical expertise.
In this position, you will oversee the delivery of civil and groundworks packages, ensuring projects meet quality, safety, and legal compliance standards. This involves managing site operations, resources, and performance across multiple trades and subcontractors. Additionally, you will liaise with design and engineering teams to ensure value-engineered and buildable solutions, resolve technical issues, and escalate where necessary to senior management.
The ideal candidate will have a degree or higher diploma in Construction, Civil Engineering, or a relevant trade background. You will have demonstrated site leadership experience in groundworks on residential developments, with a strong understanding of Irish building regulations and certification processes. Excellent attention to detail, a structured and methodical approach to work, and proven ability to lead teams and work independently with initiative are also essential skills for this role.
