Join to apply for the Wind Turbine Service Technician - Slievecallan role at Nordex Group.
The role is permanent and based at the Slievecallan windfarm in County Clare. The aim is to service and maintain Nordex wind turbines, carrying out general and specialized work including repairs, troubleshooting and fault-finding to achieve high turbine availability.
What you will be doing
* On-site performance analysis and action plan implementation
* Collaborate with Technicians and Back Office staff to perform on-the-job demonstrations
* Support on-site single turbine improvements on problem turbines
* Provide on-site software & hardware updates
* Support online and phone technical support
* Create reports on turbines or turbine components
* Handle parameter disabling and alarm changes when necessary
Requirements / What we are looking for
* Experience in Mechanical or Electrical industry; ability to read electrical, hydraulic and mechanical diagrams
* Mechanical or Electrical training through time-served or a technical college qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
* Ability to identify and define problems, extract information from technical data, and develop workable solutions; comfortable with change
* Computer literate; confident with MS Office and database/workload management systems; SAP experience a bonus
* Role involves working at heights up to 100 m; must be fit and able to pass a working-at-height test
* Willingness to travel regularly, including nights away; full UK/EU driving licence required
