Immediate Start - Senior Assistant Manager @ Daniel's Bar and Kitchen, Co. Mayo
We're on the look for a Senior Assistant Manager to help with the day-day operations for our all-day-dining and cocktails concept in the heart of Ballina, Co. Mayo.
As a Senior Assistant Manager you will be overseeing and supporting alongside the General Manager in the restaurant providing knowledge, ability and leading as an all rounder across the floor and bar operations.
The restaurant sits 65 covers with the kitchen open from 12pm-9pm, 7 days a week.
Hosting a fantastically seasonal menu, paired with cocktail delights; the attentiveness and delivery to push sales and execute service, ensuring guests return is imperative.
We're looking for someone with a real passion in the food and drink world, with previous and proven experience within the catering/restaurant environment.
An enthusiastic individual that is able to engage with everyone, bringing ideas to the table to enhance the current offerings whilst maintaining standards set by the restaurant.
The Role:
➢ Ensuring compliance with licensing, hygiene and Health & Safety legislation/guidelines
➢ Coordinate all operational standards including environmental, front and back of house cleanliness, organisation, administration and security
➢ Overseeing stock levels
➢ Handling customer enquiries and complaints
➢ Preparing and presenting staffing/sales reports
➢ Keeping statistical and financial records
➢ Assessing and improving profitability setting targets
➢ Liaising with customers, employees, suppliers, licensing authorities and sales representatives
➢ Making improvements to the running of the business and development of the restaurant
Staffing and Personnel functions:
➢ Be a leader with a positive attitude and a role model to the team. Uphold company's values, motivate and inspire individuals throughout the business
➢ Encourage team work and communicate effectively with staff, assistant managers and company directors / business partners
➢ Recruiting, training and supervising staff as well as producing staff rotas
➢ Actively seek out and develop talent from within and outside the organisation
➢ Coordinate disciplinary action observing company procedures reporting to the Business administrator/owner
➢ Coordinate staff and managers appraisals
➢ Monitor payroll information ensuring accuracy and weekly delivery of the payroll
➢ Record holidays, sickness, timekeeping and absenteeism
➢ Conduct department meetings
Sales & Business Development:
➢ Agreeing and managing sales forecast and cost budgets
➢ Promoting and marketing the business
➢ Develop, coordinate and drive your team to promote the business. Focus on deliver the best customer service exceeding customer expectations with excellent product knowledge seeking the development of sales opportunities
➢ Understanding of the business, it's environment, potential, performance and it's competitive advantage
➢ Implement and maintain all promotional activities to the best of your ability
➢ Set the team's objectives within the business plan
Stock control & Expenses:
➢ Coordinate departmental control, administration, monitoring and reporting
➢ Ensure uniforms and disposables purchase are up to date
➢ Produce monthly reports for each department
➢ Deliver record of all food and bar expenses
➢ Authorise order and payments of supplies
Self Management:
➢ Take full responsibility and ownership of decisions
➢ Use information to improve performance
➢ Complete your KPIs as delegated by business needs/administrator
Qualifications:
➢ Relevant kitchen awareness is expected and the candidate should have enough experience on all HACCP guidelines, General health & Safety and Food safety policies.

Pay: Up to €17.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 60 per week
