Store Manager – Fashion / Footwear
Our client a well-known fashion footwear brand is seeking to recruit an experienced, energetic retail manager to join their Athlone location. As store manager you will be responsible for leading, mentoring and coaching a service-driven team of 5 in achieving sales through excellent service and engagement.
The ideal candidate will be highly customer focused with 2 years + retail leadership experience who thrives on both sales' performance and team development.
This job may be suited to a current store manager or a Deputy manager looking to take the next step.
Key Responsibilities as Fashion Store Manager
1. Lead, motivate and develop a team of 4-5 staff, ensuring high standards of performance, morale, and service delivery
2. Recruit, onboard and train staff, while managing schedules and staff performance through regular reviews and feedback
3. Drive sales and profitability by delivering on KPIs
4. Oversee merchandising and visual standards, ensuring displays, product placement, and general store layout, reflecting brand guidelines and stimulate sales
5. Monitor inventory levels, manage stock replenishment and ordering processes, and minimise losses through effective controls
6. Handle daily operational tasks – including cash handling, opening/closing protocols, and ensuring adherence to security and health & safety procedures
7. Deliver outstanding customer service: resolve inquiries and issues, cultivate long-term customer relationships, and uphold a service-first culture
Key Requirements & Skills
8. Minimum of 3 years+ experience in fashion or a related retail environment
9. Demonstrated ability to build strong customer relationships, address inquiries, and resolve issues promptly, ensuring a positive shopping experience.
10. A proven track record in driving sales and service across a customer orientated retail store
